Who I work With
My clients are people who care deeply and often hold a great deal for others. From the outside, they may appear high-functioning. Internally, they feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how long they can continue carrying so much.
I specialize in working with clients navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, caregiving fatigue, identity shifts, relationship issues, and life transitions. I also have extensive experience supporting parents and siblings of children on the autism spectrum, adoptive families, queer and trans families, and caregivers of children with neurodevelopmental differences and developmental trauma.
My approach to therapy is relational, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed. I believe meaningful therapy is not simply about symptom reduction. It is about understanding the deeper emotional patterns, relationships, and survival strategies that shape how we engage in our lives. Together, we create space to slow down, explore what feels stuck or painful, and help you reconnect with yourself in a more compassionate and sustainable way.
Clients often describe me as kind, direct, and grounded. I bring honesty, curiosity, and attentiveness into the therapy room. I value creating a space where clients feel safe and connected while also challenged toward growth and greater insight. You are carving out precious time to do the work in therapy, so you can count on me to be right there with you every step of the way.
I have more than ten years of experience working in schools, residential treatment settings, and therapeutic environments with adolescents, families, and caregivers navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Every person I work with is unique, and my approach will be too. I am trained as a relational, psychodynamic therapist. In my practice I also draw on modalities including Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and elements of CBT, and DBT.
My therapy dog, Juni, often joins sessions. Juni has worked alongside me since she was a puppy and brings a gentle presence that many clients find comforting.
Therapy can be a place where you no longer have to perform competence, hold everything together, or care for everyone else first. If you are longing for more clarity, steadiness, connection, or space to breathe, I would be honored to work with you.
