Parent Coaching
Parenting a teenager is not easy, especially when you find the strategies that used to work suddenly don’t. Maybe you’re dealing with anxiety, emotional outbursts, school refusal, conflict, shutdowns, social struggles, or a child who seems overwhelmed by everyday life. You may find yourself second-guessing everything you say and do, struggling with the line between wanting to support your child and knowing that something needs to change.
Parent coaching is a space for you to step back, make sense of what’s happening, and develop practical strategies that actually fit your family. I work with parents to better understand their child’s behavior, communicate more effectively, set boundaries without escalating conflict, and respond to challenging moments with greater confidence and consistency.
I bring more than ten years of experience working with teens and families in schools, residential treatment, and therapeutic settings, along with five years of experience providing parent coaching. I have extensive experience supporting families navigating anxiety, neurodivergence, developmental differences, trauma, emotional and behavioral challenges, and the complicated transition from childhood to adolescence and young adulthood.
My goal is not to give you a list of things you “should” be doing. Together, we’ll look at what is happening in your family, what has and hasn’t worked, and what your child may be communicating through their behavior. From there, we can develop a clearer plan for moving forward; one that supports your child while also helping you feel more confident, connected, and capable as a parent.
